Whatever happened to: Eric Burdon of The Animals

by sgraham on January 16th, 2008

Sorry for the absentia, people! Let me make it up to you with a little boogie featuring The Animals. But first, let’s catch up with Eric Burdon, the lead singer and self-proclaimed “driving force of the grittiest British Invasion band.” After such hits as House of the Rising Sun and We Gotta Get Out of this Place with The Animals, Burdon moved on to front the 70s funk band: WAR. He’s been busy since then acting and composing soundtracks for films plus exploring new musical adventures. Inducted with the rest of the (old) Animals to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, he has re-banded (is that a word?) The (new) Animals and is currently touring the USA.
