This Day In Music Fun
I just found a cool site called This Day in Music. Maybe you’ve heard of it — I haven’t. But then again I tend to live under a rock about media stuff at times.
There are lots of neat things to do at this site that claims to be, “The online record of 10,000 musical facts.” You can see quotes and what happened “this day” in music obviously. You can also take a peak at items like, where are they now; chart facts, Rolling Stone covers and way more.
My favorite is the #1 song on this day category. You can find out the #1 song in the U.S., UK, or AUS for dates like your birthday, wedding, kid’s birthday, and so on.
According to the chart the number one song on the day I was born was…
- Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen in the UK
- Fly, Robin Fly by Silver Convention in the U.S
- Mama Mia by Abba in AUS
Look what song was #1 the day Cedar, my son was born: Mrs Jackson by Outkast (gotta love Outkast).
Way too much fun. I’m pretty much only recommending this site if you’ve got nothing better to do for hours on end because you could easily waste a lot of time there.
