Joni is Old School Green

My girl Joni was green before green was the new black. She’s just that good.

To tell you the truth this isn’t one of my favorite Joni songs. I love it I just don’t obsess over it like I do most of her music. I’d say that has something to do with the fact that a bunch of lame covers have been made. Do not try and leave a comment that says, “Oh, but what about the cover by…blank artist!” I will fight you about it because I’ve heard whatever blank you were going to fill in and I don’t like it.

Also, she wrote so much and I hate when people get so focused on one popular tune and seemingly ignore other amazing songs.

Long story short the reason I’m playing this song here today is because it is fitting for Blog Action Day and she looks beautiful. I love this concert — she just glows the whole way through.

Big Yellow Taxi… today, really think about what she’s saying. It was true then and it’s worse now. Think hard.
