It’s An Amazing Shiny Day
It’s here! Today is the huge release day for Joni Mitchell’s new album Shine!
How exciting is that. Pretty exciting.
Today Starbucks is hosting a “Lunch & Listen” event to recognize and celebrate Shine. From 11am to 2pm Starbucks shops across America and Canada will play Shine for visitors. Nice. It almost makes me want to go to Starbucks.

Holy, and what’s this…. A promo video! Course my girl is puffing away as per usual. You know. Smoking is not cool kids but I will say that it’s sort of amazing that she sounds so good considering she’s been smoking since what age 12 or something. Still — don’t smoke.
But this video is so great. Joni, as always has some amazing words to say and there are clips from The Fiddle and the Drum, the ballet collaboration between Joni and Alberta Ballet’s artistic creator Jean Grand-Maître.
Also, you’ll be able to watch The Fiddle and the Drum on October 22 when it airs on Bravo. I can’t find the listings yet so I’ll get back to you. Also I don’t have my copy of Shine yet because I didn’t trust the mail to get it too me today. Hence I will be headed out of my house soon to pick it up. Reviews to come later after I absorb.
