Half-caf triple Hippies at Starbucks

In another flexing of the power that is Starbucks, they’ve signed on Carly Simon to join Paul McCartney, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell and more on their Hear Music label. Simon’s newest CD, This Kind of Love, has a Brazilian-inspired beat and drops April 29th, ahead of her website’s announcement of a May release.
While speaking with Billboard Magazine about This Kind of Love, Simon told them, “You don’t have to be singing bossa nova or samba to get the essence of Brazilian music. There are songs that fit no one rhythm or generic type or song progression.”
