Friday Night Fun: Tye Dyed Tortilla Chips!
Last week’s Friday Night Fun post was wrought with depression — well, except for the guitar toilets! This week I’m in a much better mood and also have some very cool fun for your weekend gatherings to share.
This Friday Night Fun post is brought to you by my good pal Marye over at Baking Delights. And while these chips are not really baked they are most absolutely full of delight.
Here are the colored tortillas before you fry them…
How beautiful are these. I LOVE them and they seem really easy to make.
Here are the finished chips after frying…
Not so vivid after cooking but yes, they are super dyed. If you show up with these chips at a weekend party everyone will think you’re slick. Ok, I would think you’re slick and there’s a good chance others will as well. You could make this with the Tye Dye Cheesecake; granted chips and cheesecake don’t so much flow together but I’ve been to some parties where they would make you the queen (or king) of the night.
To snag the recipe and pictures of the dying process visit Baking Delights.

Wow, tie-dyed chips. I never would have thought of that one. Does it effect the taste at all?

Sorry Jyle, my blog spammed you. I don’t know why but hence the late show. I don’t think it would affect the taste because most food coloring is flavorless.
