Ever Have One of Those Days…
Where you would just love to go totally postal and show everyone you mean business? No. Of course you have.
Well, for numerous reasons that was me yesterday. I hate when I get that way because I hardly ever get that mad and it’s a terrible feeling plus chill is a much nicer way to be. When I’m feeling nuts I do what everyone else does. I put on the tunes and go blog surfing. If you don’t do this I highly recommend it. You’ve got the music going and some neat new posts to distract you.
Last night however, I was so mad that even blog surfing wasn’t helping. Until…
I came across a video post at Play Library. This post turned my evening around in a big way (I think it was the first time I laughed all night) and actually made me feel better. So, I’m gonna post it here. Just in case any of you 70s babies are feeling postal maybe this will help.
This video is not exactly from the 70s (I’m cheating a little); it’s early 80s but it is reminiscent of the 70s there actually was a first version of it on a very popular 1950s-1980s show. Do you remember which one?
Anyhow thanks to Kerri, for making my night better. You gotta love angry blog surfing.

Ha ha! I almost said Mr. Dress Up but that didn’t start in the 50s. Is it Captain Kangaroo???

Thanks so much for the shout out! I really am so glad I was able to bring a smile to your face, or at least provide a little video that would. :) A bit of trivia, according to Wikipedia, the Picture Pages bits were actually shown on a few different shows. ;)

Hey, good you got my link! I know; PP actually started on Captain K. But I don’t think Bill was on that show ever. He used it on a different show but I think he was actually the third person to do so. I used to think it was on another show even (but can’t remember what)?

Ok, miss. I went and re-looked at your photo to see if I was whacked — but you still look pretty young to me (I suck with ages though). I do see that you now have a spiffy and very busy profile up which made me feel very lazy. I’ve never wrestled giant zoo creatures. Although, as a social worker I was attacked with a weed whacker (electric) so it’s almost the same ;)
Your profile was cool though; I hate when someone just writes their profile like this, “I blog” (ooooo, neat). Plus I liked your skirt.

I too hate when someone says so little about themselves. It’s fun to check people out and see who they are when you’re reading their stuff. :)
