A Peaceful Classic
How about something calm. I’ve been working all day so excitement might throw me off.
I’ll be back with something a bit louder for those of you not taking it easy today. I like a little Jim in my day though. A bonus of Jim is that he was great on recording and great live. I appreciate musicians who pull that off. I hate going to a show and having a band I love suck live.
The worst band I ever saw live was likely Hole. I was actually there to see Veruca Salt but Hole was the opener; who I don’t hate — but it was so bad I had to leave. It was not cool.
What’s the worst band you ever saw live? (that you liked before hand)

The worst band I ever saw live was 10,000 Maniacs. I didn’t love them before, but i liked enough of their stuff that i thought the show would be good.
Very boring.
Natalie did a version of “Verdi Cries” on the piano at the end that was beautiful, but the rest of the show was bad.
Near the end of “Verdi Cries” someone in the crowd yelled “Peace Train”, and she slammed her hand s down on the piano keys, said “goodnight” and walked off.

I’m like you, I like 10,000 Maniacs enough to maybe go see them (like if someone gave me free tickets) but not too much. That sucks that she’d just walk of the stage like that. I would think a show by them would be boring — they aren’t that exciting. I’ve been so lucky because I haven’t seen too many bad shows. Most have been amazing. I should do a post on that for the favorite 5. But do five best shows.
